New Reactions of Cyclopentadienylnickel Chelates with Secondary Phosphane Tethers

In continuation of our research in cyclopentadienylalkylphosphane nickel chelates with secondary phosphane tethers the first cationic representatives this class compounds are reported. These were obtained by reaction respective bromo complex tris(4-trifluoromethylphenyl)phosphane as well a number alkyl and aryl isonitriles presence indium tribromide. This Lewis acid is crucial for success reactions leading to tetrabromoindate salts. The characterized spectroscopically, including rare 14N,13C couplings being observed. Finally, deprotonation experiments reported, which provide some evidence taking place, although expected phosphinidene could not be isolated due rapid decomposition.
